About Little Locals

Hello! Im Meg and I am a first time mum living in Morningside. We have a baby girl, Grace, who was born in December 2024. 

Before having our little girl, my husband and I enjoyed going out regularly for food or drinks around Edinburgh together, or with friends. Now we have Grace we were looking to find places where we would feel welcomed with our baby. Unfortunately, we found it really difficult to find online an easy way to know if there would be space for our pram, good changing facilities, etc. so this is where the idea for Little Locals came from. 

After asking around on some other parent communities I found 86%* of parents had decided not to visit a venue because they weren't sure if it would accommodate their needs with their children and many commented that they would want to know the facilities but also the friendliness of the venues for families so it seemed the problem was not only one we had faced.

 

The purpose of my posts are to be short and informative. This is not intended to be a site to review the food or quality of the venues, but to inform others of their suitability for visiting with babies and children. 

I encourage you to comment on any posts where you have experiences of the venues and send me any ideas and feedback to improve!
