As soon as I launched Little Locals this was the most recommended cafe by so many people so I had to add it to the top of my must visit list and it definitely didn't disappoint! Wide doors, smooth floors and open space make it a dream for prams, not to mention the very chic changing facilities. A great place to meet with space for one or two buggies at most tables.
I felt very relaxed here snuggled in on a comfortable bench seat I was able to breastfeed Grace very comfortably - although for anyone looking for a chair with armrests to feed may struggle, I liked the ease of being able to be spaced out on the bench. There were also other mums in during my visit also feeding so great to see others feeling similarly comfortable.
Buggy Space: 5/5
Argyle place is great for prams with a really wide doorway and open spaces throughout. I was given a table at the back with bench seating on one side. I could easily slot my pram in beside the table giving me a great little spot to enjoy a cuppa and watch the world go by out the window.
Children's amenities: 3/5
The staff were very welcoming of the buggy coming in, holding the door and making sure I had space beside the table. The cafe have high chairs available if you need them for little ones.
Changing Facilities: 4/5
The changing facilities are located beside the coffee machine in a wide slide-door disabled loo and are very spacious and clean with a chic design - definitely one of the nicest changing rooms I have used so far!
Location & Transport Connections: 3/5
Argyle Place is located in Marchmont and is ideally located to pop in after a walk around the meadows. For those with energetic toddlers, the Meadows playpark and open green space is just a minuted walk at the bottom of the road to burn off some energy.
There is no parking for the restaurant but there is pay and display space on the street outside.
The bus connections are not great for Argyle Place, the nearest stop on Roseneath street only serving number 9 but close by on Marchmont Road you can also catch a 24.
