12-14 Comiston Rd, Edinburgh EH10 5QE
I visited the Leaf & Bean in Morningside after a Baby Massage class at the church hall across the road. There were 5 of us all with babies and 4 prams and I was pleasantly surprised about how welcoming this cafe was for so many babies and prams. The staff were very helpful in offering the best space for the prams and offered to move tables for us to have space to better chat and fit around a table. Super family friendly coffee shop and a great place to meet other parents.
We sat at a table with a bench against the wall on one side and chairs on the other. I would happily breastfeed here as it was a relaxed atmosphere with lots of other families, however there wasn't any comfier seating or chairs with armrests for those who need a bit more support while feeding.
Buggy Space: 4/5
Leaf and Bean doesn't have a tonne of space but the tables are spaced out enough that one buggy would fit fairly easily at most tables. If you are visiting with multiple buggies there are spaces to park them at the side or if its not too busy the staff were happy to move tables to accommodate. Access to the cafe is really easy too with a door that doesnt close itself so you can easily open it and get the pram inside yourself.
Children's amenities: 5/5
The staff were so welcoming of children and babies here. The gentleman working chatted to us about the babies we were with and a number of other children came in during our visit. I think its well suited to older children too with a play space for them.
Changing Facilities: 4/5
The facilities are located in the only toilet in the cafe. There is a table right beside the entry to the toilets so on this visit there were customers that would have been in the way if I wanted to take my pram into the changing room, but otherwise they were easy to find and a big space which was clean. They also has a supply of some spare nappies in the changing room which would be handy if you were caught short.

Location & Transport Connections: 3/5
Located at the south side of Morningside the cafe is about 10 mins walk from both Morningside park or Braidburn Valley Park for anyone looking to find a playpark for their little ones.
There is no parking for the restaurant but there is free parking (zone B2 so not available 1:30-3pm) on the streets surrounding. It may be hard to get a spot very close by on some days due to how busy Morningside can get.
The bus connections are good in Morningside with the stop outside the restaurant serving busses 5, 11, 15, 16, 23 and 36.
