55-57 Lothian Rd, Edinburgh EH1 2DJ
Located towards the bottom of Lothian Road we visited Ting Thai for lunch on a busy Saturday while on our way into town. The staff were very friendly and helpful, showing us a few options for tables with the pram. The main downside to this visit was the lack of changing facilities, with no changing table in any of the toilets, so if you plan to visit its something to be aware of.
Buggy Space: 3/5
The restaurant is a busy place with lots of smaller tables in the first room and larger bench tables in the second room. The second room has more space for prams beside tables. The doorway is wide and easy to access but once inside its a little tricky to navigate the pram past tables if they are busy with people. There is also a small step inside the restaurant between the two spaces which is easy to manage with the pram but just to be aware of. The pram would fit easily at the end of the bench tables, or we were lucky enough to get a small booth table which had a perfect space for the pram beside us. Other families with older children also left their pram outside as there is a covered area right beside the door where you could leave a pram if there is little space.

Children's amenities: 2/5
The staff were extremely welcoming of us coming in with a pram even when the restaurant was busy. They went out their way to show us options for tables and let us pick the best option. There were also other families in the restaurant at the time. However, I don't think there are any children's specific food options available and I didn't see any high chairs on offer - however I didn't ask so perhaps they were stored out of view.
Changing Facilities: 0/5
The big issue with visiting Ting Thai with your little one is the lack of changing facilities. The disabled loo is big and spacious but there is no changing table available. Best to plan ahead and hope you don't need to change your little one while visiting.
Location & Transport Connections: 2/5
Ting Thai is located near the bottom of Lothian Road so there is no parking availability immediately close by and it is not near any parks or outside spaces for children to play. Its a good place to pop in if you are heading into town but not the best destination for babies or children.
The bus connections are good though with the stop outside the usher hall being closest serving routes 1, 10, 11, 12, 15, 16, 24, 34, 36, and 47.
